Cinnamon Sugar Baked Donuts

Cinnamon Sugar Baked Donuts | Daughter Jean

These easy baked donuts are amazing and saves time in comparison to the traditional yeast donut. It is an easy batter that pipes into a donut pan and bakes up pillowy soft. They are finished off by dipping them into a cinnamon sugar. Very easy. Very delicious.

DAIRY SUBSTITUTES

As always, the recipe is dairy allergy and lactose intolerant friendly but you can always use real butter and milk if you would like. The measurements are exactly the same

Come back and let me know if you try these in the comment section below. Enjoy!

Cinnamon Sugar Baked Donuts

Yield: 12 servings

2 cups cake flour

3/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 almond milk

2 large eggs

2 tbsp butter substitute, melted & cooled (I use Earth Balance)

1 tbsp vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

6 tbsps butter alternative, melted (I use Earth Balance)

1/2 cup pure cane sugar

3/4 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 425 F. Spray your donut tray with non-stick baking spray. Sit the tray(s) to the side.

Add the cake flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Add the wet ingredients into the large bowl with the flour mixture. Stir until combined and all dry ingredients are saturated.

Pour the batter into a large zip lock bag or piping bag.. Cut the tip of the bag and pipe evenly into the donut tray. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes.

Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. Dip the donuts into the melted butter and then dip into the cinnamon sugar on the buttered side.
